They say build it once, build it right. So we did just that!
In designing our facility, we aimed to provide each guest with a safe and pleasant experience. We wanted to create a welcoming environment so that our customers felt comfortable coming with friends, family, or on their own. From the moment you step into Recoil, you are welcomed by our friendly team with a view of the range through our ballistic windows. Have a seat by our fireplace as you watch our safety video or wait for a class to begin.
With 15 heated and air-conditioned lanes at 25 yards, each lane features state of the art technology including digital target retrievers. Our facility also has HEPA air filtration with airflow at over 75 feet per minute. With sound dampening throughout the range and shooting booths constructed of AR500 steel, safety and comfort is in every detail. Our range is fully handicapped accessible and we allow up to 3 people per lane. We welcome guests 10 years old and up accompanied with a parent/guardian.

MEGGITT TRAINING SYSTEMS
Meggitt has been equipping shooting ranges for almost a century. When it came to build-out of our range, we were only willing to settle on state-of-the-art equipment to provide the best experience possible. We spent several years visiting ranges, attending range conferences, and meeting with various equipment manufacturers. Ultimately, we chose to use Meggitt Training Systems equipment because of the features they offered and the proven track record with providing range equipment to many law enforcement and military facilities throughout the world.
RANGE FEATURES
THE RANGEMASTER 10K CONTROLLER
The RM10K combines touch-screen technology and wireless communication to give instructors unprecedented control from any location in the range. Handheld wireless devices provide the portability to allow instructors full automation of the range while interacting with the shooters at the line. With the RM10K, range operators no longer need to be confined to a control room. That means more time can be devoted to firearms instruction, rather than range management.
Connected Classroom
Here at Recoil, we take training seriously. We service beginning shooters all the way up to advanced shooters. We service beginner shooters all the way up to advanced shooters. We offer many classes including CCW classes, NRA classes, tactical classes and many more. Our classroom is equipped for videos, slideshows, and hands-on training. Most of our classes do include plenty of live-fire range time.
HEPA AIR FILTRATION
For our air handling system, we chose Carey’s Small Arms Range Ventilation out of Illinois. They specialize in shooting range air systems. They designed us a system that is both heated and cooled, and has HEPA air filtration with airflow at over 75 feet per minute. Our system meets all EPA, NIOSH and OSHA standards to keep you safe.
AR500 STEEL SHOOTING BOOTHS
For our shooting booths, we did a lot of research and visited numerous ranges. We decided to build ours 4’ deep instead of the traditional 3’ deep shooting booths. This makes you feel like you are in your own private booth, protects you from your neighbors shell casings, and provides plenty of protection because they are made of AR500 steel. We also made them wide enough so that you can have 2 people in the booth if you are introducing someone to shooting. Our range is fully handicapped accessible with 4 handicapped equipped shooting booths.
MEGGITT GRANTRAP
For our bullet trap, we chose the Meggitt Grantrap. It is constructed of a stepped steel platform covered in granulated rubber. We chose this bullet trap because it is the quietest option, and it also captures the bullets whole, which minimizes lead dust as well as ricochets. There are many important factors that go into building a range, and bullet containment is at the top of the list. Between our 12’’ solid concrete block construction, our bullet trap and our strategically spaced AR500 steel baffles, we ensure that bullets cannot leave the building.
MEGGITT XWT WIRELESS TARGET CARRIERS
We chose Meggitt XWT Wireless Target Carriers for our target retriever system. They have 360-degree turning capability and have LED distraction lighting options. You can even set up your own specific scenarios to provide higher-level training. The carriers are operated via a touch-screen interface for all target retriever commands.
