NRA Basics Pistol Instructor Course

- Learn how to instruct shooting revolvers and semi-automatic pistols to students

Teach students how to use their pistol
Course topics include: Gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety.
Additionally, students will complete live firearm training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified instructor. Students will receive the NRA guide: Basics of Pistol shooting, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Examination and receive a course completion certificate. This certificate also satisfies the Florida non-resident full carry license good in over 30 states.

- Student level NRA Basics of Pistol course. (Online NRA Basic Pistol Course does not qualify)

Requirments
- Candidates must possess and demonstrate a solid background in firearm safety and shooting skills acquired through previous firearm training and/or previous shooting experience. Instructor candidates must be intimately familiar with each action type in the discipline they wish to be certified.
- Candidates will be required to demonstrate solid and safe firearms handling skills to be successful during an instructor training course by completing pre-course questionnaires and qualification exercises administered by the NRA Training Counselor.
- All students must pass the NRA Pistol shooting qualification (16/20 shots need to be in a 6’’ group at 15 yards

Cancellation Policy
We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you cannot attend a class that you signed up for. With 48 hours’ notice or more, you can reschedule for a later date or be refunded in full. With LESS THAN 48 hours’ notice, you can reschedule the class one time OR be eligible for a 50% refund of the amount paid for the class. With less than 24 hours’ notice you are not eligible for a refund. There will be a fee of $25 to reschedule for a later date. Once you have signed up for a class and do not show up or give proper notice, you will NOT be eligible for any refund.
