Test Your Skills
This 3-hour course will begin by going over proper holster selection and the different types of holsters and their uses. It will then move to learning how to safely draw and present to the target, and re-holster your firearm. This class consists of dry-fire training as well as training on the live range. This course is mandatory for anyone wishing to draw from a holster here at Recoil. You will be assessed on safe gun-handling procedures throughout the duration of the class and must pass a proficiency test in order to be allowed to holster draw at Recoil.

Preferred Prerequisite(Not Mandatory)
NRA Basic Pistol or equivalent course.
Note: If you are active or retired LEO, you do not need to take this class to draw from a holster inside the range.
What To Bring
- Additional magazines (3 total preferred)
- Magazine pouch that holds at least 2 additional magazines
- Holster (no cross-draw or shoulder holsters)
- Strong side hip holster (IWB/OWB are both allowed) OWB is preferred.
- 150 rounds of quality ammo
- Sturdy gun belt
- Eye and Ear Protection
- No shorts or open toed shoes
Cancellation Policy
We require at least 48 hours’ notice if you cannot attend a class that you signed up for. With 48 hours’ notice or more, you can reschedule for a later date or be refunded in full. With LESS THAN 48 hours’ notice, you can reschedule the class one time OR be eligible for a 50% refund of the amount paid for the class. With less than 24 hours’ notice you are not eligible for a refund. There will be a fee of $25 to reschedule for a later date. Once you have signed up for a class and do not show up or give proper notice, you will NOT be eligible for any refund.
